Given...

That the sum of alternate interior angles are equal to eachother, what is the sum of x+ 3 if the alternate interior angles are...

I don't have time to draw the diagram and finish the word problem, but God is so far superior to our logic and theorem. I plead with Him, Given... that we inherited a world of sex, drugs and rock and roll and the opposite interior angles means that I feel that my soul will never be totally free from the sins of the flesh, How is it possible that a human being be holy in this dark world of sin? Jesus prays for me. and Thank God, He has cleansing and healing for the darkest blot. Confusion belongs to us and if, given that my sins cling to me and I confess and forsake them and if we have the awesome responsibility to take authority over the wildlife, how much more, over the principalities and real sins which so easily beset us. Given, you have not meant for us to live stoicly and distantly from passion and relating. Given that You are a passionate God, how can we love oneanother truly and wholey, without falling into grossest of sins? Given! the God of glory is the ONLY answer to the theorem. NO! I don't think human detachment is the answer. We can love eachother. We can enjoy the love of the brethren and not defile eachother. Thank God that when we do, either by snubbing or by a wrong look or a wrong touch or proudly exalting ourselves over others, we have an advocate with the Father, pleading and making supplication for us to the Father. "5 bleeding wounds he bears, received on Calvary, they pour effectual prayers." Do I believe that they strongly plead for me? Jesus paid it all! No flesh shall glory in His sight, let we who think we stand take heed! GIVEN

Yo Mama don't dance!

We are blessed with the ability to consider and to think and the ability to move and to shake. I enjoyed the dance of my butterfly bush, with icy leaves, she was shaking her groove thing, and showing me how to do it! I enjoyed it immensely! You children know that you cannot say that your mother doesn't dance. She does. I especially dance for the Lord and occasionally I dance in rejoicing for other reasons. God is the Lord of the dance and I do pray for wisdom in my boogy fever! But until I do, just ignore it children!

My Fellow Americans

I am so very glad that I am not the President of the United States of America, but if I were I would be happy to talk to my nation about some of the things that we are going through and entering into.

I probably would say:

As a nation, we have been through many challenges in these last few years. Thank God and thank the able leadership of my predecessor for the direction and good examples which have gotten us to where we are today. This economic crisis is not the only item which we are or have been battling with as a nation. We have tackled challenges before and will with the help of God endure challenges and difficulties as we continue to wrestle ourselves, to remain ONE NATION under God. Some of the difficulties and challenges we inherit and some we have initiated and created for ourselves. It does us no good and just wastes valuable time to blameshift and throw accusations around. Our forefathers have created a wonderful vehicle for that and it is called the campaign. With that behind us, we grasp the broom of cleaning and go about the task of cleaning up the mess that we are in at present. It comes to the surface in the campaign and it will take a determined and unified effort to create a unified nation out of the aftermath of any campaign.
The American People have trusted me with this task of lending leadership and direction for the challenges of the next 4 years and I am, at this point, soliciting the help of God and the ablest minds that I can muster and the prayers and support of the entire Union to get us through this tumultuous time. We are not in a fairytale and the Presidency is not a dream, although it is significant that forefathers of every color have hope that their child can attain to the leadership in this great country.
It is time to pull up our sleeves and do the work that it takes to get this country out of the crisis. Let us pray and let us do and let us think and let us work. We can grow. We can work together. We can live and build and renew. Generations have, before us and with the help of God, we will, as well.
I thank President Bush and the leadership which has gotten us thus far. I ask your sincerest prayers for me, as I undertake this monumental task. God bless you and unite us, as a nation.

Peachypoo gave me three beautiful blooms today.

Olivia is coming over and my peach tree is showing off for her. Three beautiful blooms for the encouragement of my day. How do I beautify the room or mess up the room? When I come into the room am I like my peach tree and giving or am I like my dormant pear trees outside. If it is not my season, there are no leaves on me and there are no blooms, I am dormant.
Outside in the winter time few blooms are to be had, even down here in the moderate temperatures, but inside the plants can bloom yearround. That is how it is in Christ. We shall be like a tree planted by the river of water. Fruit only comes in season, but blooms can come anytime. How can we bloom in the room for others to enjoy. Beauty is a bloom, pleasantries are a bloom and food is a bloom. Who do I want to bloom for today and how do I want to bloom for them?

Old Mother Hubbard went to the cupboard...

We are enjoying full cupboards, Thank you Jesus! I must think of a rhyme for this season of plenty, which we are enjoying. I must remember how God so richly provided for us in this season of time we thought might be lessened.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. God is here with us. He stands with us through the toils and trials. He stands with us through the moves that make us learn to be at home here. It is a land flowing with milk and honey. We just have to find a container to put the milk and honey into.
North Carolina is about taking your time, putting on your make up. Thinking about the details of life, the rat race is so much slower that you have a little time to think about the enjoyment of time with these loved ones.
My children are growing up so quickly and there are so many things that I want to tell them that I am at the computer often to get it down to them.
The lesson, over the weekend was be not forgetful to entertain strangers for some have entertained angels unawares. We did have another angel over our house this weekend. Enoch's sunday school teacher came over and God sent a special day of peaceful enjoyment with the company. I have seen that God has a special blessing with each extra effort towards obedience to him in any spiritual discipline. We got so much more than we gave in hospitality. The next generation is full of some people who have tasted that the Lord is gracious and have alot to give to the service of Christ in the churches. I was encouraged at the testimony of the grace of God in this young man's life and encouraged that God is using these young people in my children's lives for His own glory. God is so good!

I arose in the morning to my dancing peach tree.

She just loves the rain on her leaves and it was perfect weather for her to be outside. I am hoping that she teaches the fig girls to grow with us properly, so I put her out there with them to get a taste of that delicious season of rain that we were enjoying. She does not like it in my kitchen for some reason. I brought her in and she lost half of her leaves. It seems that she doesn't like being watered from the roots.
When I looked out at her at about 5 in the morning yesterday, she was dancing and twirling and smiling like I had never seen her do. I was about to give her some of my medicine to calm her down.
Anyway, I love her just the same and her dance was the start of a beautiful, overcast and then partly cloudy and then partly sunny and then hailly day. All of those in one day in North Carolina. It is no wonder fruit trees can do so well down here.

The Lord's Day past and now noses to the grindstone...

Back to the new year, A week or so of vacation is more than enough respite for the sullen, or should be. I can't say that I don't desire another month to be away on a sunny beach, but the beauty and joy of a North Carolina winter without the constraints of a heavy schedule is a gift, in and of itself.
Our church has one of the most awesome choirs in the country and I hear that music is like that in many of the NC churches. All I know is that when it comes to worship and praising the God of glory, it is easier to remember that He is good with the harps and trumpets all in unison, than without it. I, for one, am thankful that we have found a place to worship God on His day where the Word is not overshadowed by the music and the praise is not squashed to cover for incapacity. God is worthy of more glory than we can give Him with all of our trained faculties at work. That is reflected in our church and God has been good enough to lead us to those types of churches through out life.
The first school day of the new year reminds us that first comes the worship of God and then comes the labor and toil for His glory.
The children all made it to the bus without much of a theatrical disaster today. Unusual for us, since we are not the most organized crew. Now is the time where we are learning and growing to get out of the house with everything where it is supposed to be. (So far that seems to have been the case) By the time we get it together, they will all be grown. I just love the comradery that is formed by the crew having to work together for a common goal. The big family morning ritual is just such a crazy fun place to watch the human dynamic formed.
I am so grateful that my husband is having a season of time to participate in the insanity of the morning rituals. He had seasons of being so busy with work and church schedules that he didn't see the children and now he is the center of alot of the craziness. I hope he survives, but I am grateful for his gifts aiding us in the process.

It is raining and overcast...

A perfect setting for the closing days of the holiday vacation. The last portions of the holiday are more reminiscent than the first days. A rain day so that the children can enjoy the last day of their Christmas presents without homework and schedules demanding.
It is hard to imagine that last year this time we were in a drought and praying for rain. God is good! God is gracious and gave us the answer to our prayers and our grass is greener this year and the creeks are overflowing because God's provisions were greater than our sin. We had a season of drought and now it follows with a season of plenty of rain. Showers of blessing we have received. Mercydrops round us are falling, but for the showers we plead.
Here we are, walking on the streets of gold here in this country. Enjoying every good and precious provision of God. Moreso the provisions of Gods word are the streets of gold. We have generations of preserved meditations of great people sharing their observations in the scripture and those are the streets of gold. We use them not and rather walk in the mud than to use God's word to take captivity captive. Help us Lord and thank you for the streets of gold.

Our New Years' Day

Here we are, a family, still in tact, somewhat, in 2009. Blowing like a tattered quilt in the wind of life. We are holding together. This new year, has so many blessings attached. We are alive and well in body. We are growing and reaching, some for stars, some for moons, some for mountains, some for valleys and some just outside of their boxes. In a large family, like ours we have all kinds. The challenge is to do what is the next thing without losing ground on the important thing.
All of that is philosophical. In real life, having dinner on the table before the cows come home is where we are at. Making an appropriate and usable schedule for life and love. Keeping each of our resolutions with hope and dignity in a large house with all the means imaginable at our disposal is an awesome responsibility. Let's get it ON! A new challenge for a new year! Learn to love life and see good days...
